The primary goal of Hills Ferry Hunting Retriever Club is to promote the use of purebred retrievers for waterfowl and upland game bird hunting.  Many members also participate in organized events such as American Kennel Club (AKC) Field Trials,  Hunt Tests, North American Hunting Retriever Association (NAHRA) field tests and Duck dog Challenges and Shoot-to-Retrieves.

Our club is located in California's Central Valley a few miles west of Hilmar along the San Joaquin River.  We lease over 100 acres of land and ponds and they are our exclusive, year-round training grounds.  Annually we host an AKC Hunt Test for Retrievers, NAHRA field tests, and several other events such as Super Singles, Mock Hunt Tests, Shoot-to-retrieves, Duck dog Challenges.
